I had the honor and privilege of sharing Leigh Hotle’s journey with ALS when she volunteered to help raise awareness and recruit advocates to fight for the state of Florida to continue ALS clinic funding. After several long interviews, she allowed me to author her inspiring story in her own words.
The digital campaign consisted of a multi-channel approach including a unique website, social media posts and engagement, weekly emails, and newsletter stories.
The campaign successfully rallied the ALS community and after much lobbying, the funding for ALS care was again added to the state budget and continues to this day.
Sadly, Leigh lost her battle with ALS in 2020, but her powerful story and legacy will forever live on.
